What kind of gift card will I receive?

You can choose from a variety of popular retailers or opt for a prepaid $250 Visa gift card.

What if I’m a few days past six months?

To qualify, your loan must be fully funded and paid off within six months of the initial funding date.

Do I need to do anything to claim the gift card?

It's easy. Once you have qualified for the gift card, we will send you the redemption details and you can select your card from there. Gift cards must be redeemed within six months.

When will I receive the gift card?

You’ll get your $250 gift card within 4-6 weeks after you claim the redemption.

1 Gift card promotion is only available to borrowers with a 12-month Same as Cash home improvement loan with a minimum funded balance of $30,000. If you have multiple Same as Cash loans with Nelnet Bank, you are limited to two (2) gift cards per calendar year. The six-month repayment window starts when your contractor takes the first financing draw (the initial funding date).

To qualify for the gift card, your loan must be fully funded and paid off within the 6-month period. Please note: If your loan balance is paid off but you're still using the funds after six months, you won’t be eligible for the gift card.

In order for a loan to be considered fully funded, no additional funds can be drawn from any remaining balance. To notify us that no additional funds will be needed or drawn, please call 800-446-4190.

By participating in the Early Loan Payoff Gift Card Incentive Program, borrowers acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions. Nelnet Bank reserves the right to modify or terminate the program at any time without prior notice. Loans paid in full as of 07/30/2026 are not eligible for this promotion. To be eligible for gift card, your contractor must be part of the gift card incentive program, and you must have received the offer within the application process. Employees of Nelnet Bank and its affiliates are not eligible to participate.
